Not sure if many of you know what a parmo is. There is a classical Itaian dish but the NE version is not quite the same

Anyway, a food company are making a ready meal of it and it maybe going nationwide.
I haven't spotted them in our ASDA but I will certainly be keeping a lookout now.
Here's some info

I've never heard of them Degs', but they do sound good. Is NE the North East of England?
Yup. We get them where I am but apparently Middlesbrough is the hub of the take-away Chicken Parmesan (Parmo).
Chicken Parmo looks really good. I bet their Pork Parmo is really good too.
I have that now and again. It's nice. Also nice if done with veal too.
I haven't had one (take-away version) for ages. Even then I can only handle a half parmo and usually I have leftovers from that.
A full one fits nicely into a 12" pizza box with chips & salad.
Here is a comparison

Had one years ago and they are nice but they make a kebab the healthier option.
Not sure which is healthiest

I do miss the kababs from that place in The Rushes (Loughborough).
That blog is definitely my kind of drunk grub. It just needs something better than chicken tikka. Maybe a nargis kebab or something.
I've never heard of a nargis kebab, the only ones I know of are doner and shish kebabs. Both being very good.

It's a soft boiled egg covered in kebab meat(normally shamee/keema or similar). The trick is getting the yolk runny when you bite in. One of the nicest things I have eaten but you very rarely see them. Difficult to cook apparently.
A Turkish Scotch Egg

Sounds very tricky to cook, but now I want it!
Hang in there, Degs!

There's a thought. Has anyone tried making real scotch eggs. Pickled in whisky I mean?
Not me. Not likely to either. I'm not a fan of boiled eggs. I think the last time I had a Scotch Egg I just eat the sausage meat and breadcrumbs

I found them in ASDA and had one last night. Well, I say one. I cut it in half and it was still a decent sized portion.
I went the takeaway route. Had it with straightcut chips and a shredded red & white cabbage and onion salad with garlic sauce.
The parmo itself is good. The chicken base is cooked so you just have to reheat it and melt the bechamel and cheese. The chicken itself was moist, I was worried that it would be too dry, and the sauce and cheese had a nice consistency - not too claggy.
I was a lovely meal overall

Now I want one too.
No, I haven't even tried making any type of Scotch Egg. They sure do sound good.
ASDA have started doing Mini Parmos in chicken and pork varieties. They are just the right size for a portion with chips & salad.
I bought the pork version as I thought it would have a bit more flavour but you can't really taste much as it is very saucy and cheesy.
Very nice though
